01 December 2014 | Shared Parental Leave Regulations come into force. For parents of children born or matched for adoption on or after 5th April 2015. Parents will be able to share time off to care for their child up to their 1st birthday |
05 April 2015 | Parents whose babies are due or born after 5th April 2015 will be able to share time off to care for their baby |
06 April 2015 | Statutory pay for maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave pay will increase to £139.58 per week |
06 April 2015 | Statutory sick pay will increase to £88.45 per week |
06 April 2015 | The right to unpaid parental leave will be extended to parents of any child under the age of 18 years |
06 April 2015 | The limit of a week’s pay for the purposes of a Basic Award will increase to £475. This same increase relates to statutory redundancy payments. |
06 April 2015 | Adoptive parents will see the removal of the previous 26 week qualifying period to be eligible to take adoption leave. |
06 April 2015 | Surrogate parents will become eligible for adoption leave whose babies are due or born after 5th April 2015 |
06 April 2015 | Adoptive parents will be entitled to time off to attend adoption appointments |
